If you are a foreign national planning to visit the United Kingdom for a short stay, it is necessary to begin the process by applying for a standard visitor visa well in advance of your intended travel date. You should submit the required documents three months before your planned trip, including the following:
1. The UK visa application form.
2. A copy of a valid passport with a minimum of three months' validity.
3. Proof of payment for the UK visa fee.
4. Two recent color photographs.
5. A comprehensive travel itinerary detailing your plans and how you intend to spend your time in the UK.
6. Evidence of accommodation arrangements.
7. Confirmed return ticket.

11. Copies of Income Tax Returns/Form 16 for the past three years.

If you are employed:
- A copy of a leave-sanctioned certificate with the company's seal and signature.
- Salary slips for the last three months.
For self-employed individuals:
- Business Registration License / MOA / Partnership deed.
- The company's updated bank statement for the last six months.
- The company's IT returns for the past three years.
For retired individuals:
- Provide proof of retirement, such as a pension book or bank statement.
For students:
- School or college identity card.
- A bonafide certificate.
In the case of a minor:
- A no-objection certificate from parents or guardians.
- Identification documents of parents.
- Identification proof of the person inviting you to the UK.
If you are visiting a friend or relative:
- A copy of an invitation letter.
- Proof of the inviter's address and other identity-related documents.
- Additional documents like electricity bills and utility bills.
If you are sponsored:
- A letter of sponsorship.
- Sponsor's national ID proof, such as a passport, PAN card, or resident permit.
- Updated bank statement for the last six months.
- Income tax returns for the past three years.
Regarding the processing time for the UK Visitor Visa, if all your documents are complete and in order, you can expect to receive your visa within three weeks from the date of your biometric appointment or when the complete application has been submitted.
